Hello all

I have reluctantly decided to close the Artarazzi challenge blog. I have found that it is too much for 1 person to run, and it has been taking all of the enjoyment out of my art - to the point of me not wanting to do any at all.

I would like to thank you all, my friends, for your support over the last few months, and I am sure that I will see many of you on other sites.

CHALLENGE 33

This week I am using an image from Freerange Stock - FRS200251. I couldn't decide which image to choose, but I just loved the colours of this one.



I enjoyed this one, because I was just playing and having fun



I call it Red Umbrella - I must have been having a red day lol. I used Rain brushes, and 2 other images - The girl SXchange 947346, and the umbrella SXchange 821928.

CHALLENGE 32

Here is a fabulous and unusual image from our guest designer this week - Susan (Omabluebird), and here is what she said about it.

These are sake barrels in a shrine in Osaka Japan. I just love them for their repeating yet different patterns. I made this photo in 2005.



Here is my piece made with the barrels. I used a number of effects and plug-ins and borrowed the geisha image from paper_pal on Flickr collage images group.

I really love the variety and talent that has been shown for the last challenge. Well done ladies, and welcome to our new friends who started this week.

The challenge for this week, is an image I found on google ages ago. If anyone knows the source, please let me know and I will give credit. It is called Moon.

CHALLENGE 21

I was looking through some old CD's of paintings that I have, and fell in love with this one. It is "Spring Flowers" by Alma-Tadema Lawrence.



This was how I interpreted it, I just love the colours.
